Teacher Training

Three Days Dedicated to Teachers
In-Person + Virtual

What is it?

Tap Legacy Teacher Training is the first multi-day training designed especially for teachers by Tap Legacy co-founder Andrew Nemr. Participants will engage in four distinct sessions for a total of 8 hours of training, over three days. A small in-person cohort will offer plenty of opportunity for dialogue, personal attention, and growth. An online option offers a live feed of each session. All participants have the option to access recordings of each session.

What can I expect?

At the end of the three day event, you will have the tools you need to easily multiply your vocabulary of steps, naturally integrate music theory and tap dance history into the classroom, and confidently engage your students with improvisation. All this in an in-person environment that is interactive, engaging, and fun!

After three days, you will have the tools to...

  • Create progressive exercises
  • Multiply your current vocabulary
  • Easily bring relevant music theory into the classroom
  • Easily bring relevant tap dance history into the classroom
  • Approach improvisation while avoiding common challenges and pitfalls
  • Create an environment in which students willingly improvise
