Astaire and Leslie in The Sky’s the Limit – 1943 not a well known film for Astaire.
The critics reviewed it as a musical and gave it the thumb down.
In reality it was a dark comedy with music. It was WWII, Astaire playing a pilot ace back home selling war bonds.
Two dances stand out I’ve Got a Lot in Common With You by Fred and Joan, and more importantly Fred’s single greatest solo performance, One for My Baby.
Enjoy the singing and the Rhythmically musical tap dancing.
