This is a not well known film for Astaire. The critics reviewed it as a musical and gave it the thumb down, in reality it was a dark comedy with music.
It was WWII, Astaire playing a pilot ace Fred Atwell back home selling war bonds.
Two dances stand out I’ve Got a Lot in Common With You the clip by Fred and Joan, and more importantly Fred’s single greatest solo performance, One for My Baby.
