Ziegfeld Follies 1945 an MGM musical comedy film starring Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly among others.
The film also featured Fanny Brice, from the original Ziegfeld Follies.
Producer Arthur Freed wanted a film along the lines of Ziegfeld Follies Broadway, the film is a sequence of unrelated lavish musical numbers and comedy sketches, released in 1946 to box-office success.
Enjoy the two Masters. In The Babbitt and the Bromide, this is the only film that paired Kelly and Astaire, A Historical Dance moment.
