Cook was born in Chicago IL, a tap Master and National Treasure. Started his performing career in Vaudeville as a child with Garbage and the Two Cans, and with Sarah Venable and Her Picks up to 1929.
In 1930 Cook and Ernest Brownie Brown started Cook and Brown headlining vaudeville theaters in the USA and Europe. Their style was an unparalleled Knockabout Style, a blend of tumbling, acrobatics dancing and sly comedy.
In 1934 they opened at the Cotton Club. In 1948 they appeared on Broadway in Kiss Me Kate at the New Century Theater and worked steadily into the 1960’s.
Enjoy their energetic fun style, and Rhythmically Musical…. Very much missed.
