The Will Mastin Trio, Will Mastin, Sammy Davis Sr. and Sammy Davis Jr.
A trio of dancers and singers formed by Will Mastin, a Vaudevillian who led the troupe Sammy Davis Sr. worked for, and to Sammy Davis Jr. the child, who accompanied his father on tour, Will Mastin was the Uncle.
They performed from 1920s through the 1960s.
The Trio stopped performing in 1943 when Sammy Davis Jr. was called to serve in the US Army, but resumed their performances after the end of WWII.
Among their credited appearances are the movie Sweet and Low – 1947 and the musical Mr. Wonderful, staged on Broadway from 1956 to 1957, plus frequent billings on Sammy Davis Jr. Solo performances, including several TV shows.
