Born Eleanor Whittenberg in Cleveland, Ohio. Her film credits are Rose Bowl 1936, Three Cheers for Love 1936, Timothy’s Quest 1936.
A Vaudevillian, she appeared with Jack Benny and Rudy Vallee, and in 1946 she played Lucille Jourdain in the Would-be Gentleman on Broadway.
It is said that she met Bill Bojangles Robinson when she was ten years old, backstage at the Palace Theater in Cleveland, which was
the start of their Teacher/Mentor relationship that was instrumental in launching Eleanore’s career.
