The Will Mastin Trio, Will Mastin, Sammy Davis Sr. and Sammy Davis Jr.
Performed from the 1920s through the 1960s. Mastin led the vaudeville act Sammy Davis Sr. worked for. As a child Sammy Davis Jr. accompanied his father on tour and Mastin was as an uncle, in the mid 1920’s Sammy Jr. joined the act making it a Trio.
To overcome child labor bans, Davis Jr. was often presented as Silent Sam the Dancing Midget.
Among their numerous credits are the 1947 movie Sweet and Low, and the Broadway Musical Mr. Wonderful 1956-1957.
